Belt filter press:
The good operation of belt filter press depends on many things, not only the quality of filter belt but also a good adjusting system, filter belt tensioning system and tape speed control system cooperate with each other. Any link to error will affect the effect of sludge dewatering.
Because of its working mode, continuous dehydration with high efficiency, affected by the load fluctuation is small and relatively simple control system, have no higher requirement on operator’s skill. the work is stable, but the moisture of filter cake is usually about 80% after processing, which is hard to realize resources circulation use.
Plate and frame filter press:
Water flows out of the filter cloth by the extrusion of plate and frame, after processing the moisture of filter cake is lower than belt filter press.
But it belongs to intermittent sludge dewatering system, because of the traditional automatic plate filter press performance is poor , need artificial unloading, flush the filter cloth, etc. which lead to long processing time and inefficient. And compared with belt filter press, plate filter press floor space is larger.
