How is the temperature affect the efficiency of plate-frame filter press?
Temperature is the main factor affects the work of plate-frame filter press, which directly affect the filtering efficiency. If the temperature of the filter material is higher, the activity of water molecules become more stronger, water can easily flow out from the filter cloth .
With the filtrate material’s temperature increases, the cloth’s temperature also increase accordingly. The pore size of the filter cloth become larger, this reduce work efficiency and filtering result .
Filter plate is an important part of the plate-frame filter press which also will be overheating. due to the different material constituting of the plate, the filtering effect will be different under same temperature, especially some filter plate made of plastic material .
Presently, most of the manufacture’s filter plate made of polypropylene material on the market, generally is plastic, so have a higher requirement on the working temperature . Because the filter material with high temperature easy lead to internal material’s decomposition and oxidation, shorten working time of plate-frame filter press, add usage cost and reduce the working efficiency.
